Data Ethics - Is Your AI Making Responsible Decisions?

Introduction

Machine generated data is growing at an exponential growth rate of 50 times faster than conventional business data. Although technology is deemed as being neutral, more cognitive technologies are making predictions originating from human predispositions. These ‘decisions’ are no longer regulated by our inputs but are becoming independent of our own thinking while magnifying the biases from which they formulate. As emerging tech rapidly expands, regulations and laws lag behind leaving organizations to self-govern. Join us to learn more about the rapidly evolving field of Data Ethics and the need to infuse the design of every intelligent system with the principles that will allow us to create more ethical and equitable technology solutions. In this session we will review the rise of Data Ethics, the initiatives being crafted by nations and industry to help better inform and regulate the use of cognitive technologies, and take a deeper dive into the skills needed within data teams and across the organization to develop tech solutions that responsibly balance the needs of both business and society.
